Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The virus emerged in early 2020 and rapidly spread around the world, with a pandemic declared by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. The virus spreads mainly from person to person - even one with no symptoms - making it critically important to follow IPAC leading practices.
